  • Amalgamated Jitter

    Amalgamated Jitter

This was a project where we had to create a procedural process using geometry nodes in blender. I used color theory and my current understanding of blender to create this amalgamation. I also used FL Studio for the sound design. This gave each shot more dynamism, and a lot more nuance, making the viewer feel as if the amalgamation actually was further away or closer.

In order to create this, I took a bunch of the default Suzanne heads and instanced them all over a cube, as seen above. I then had them randomly grow and shrink in size. After that I took the heads and turned them into a volume so they all amalgamated together, then took that volume and converted it into a mesh so it was solid again giving the look it does in the final version. The final look was given using a lot of compositing in blenders compositor.

  • Digital Me

    Digital Me

For this project we were tasked to photogram ourselves and create something from that. I took that scan of my head and transformed it into this using shader nodes and compositing. I then took that shader and had the emission turn up to make it look as if the bust was powering up. I also created the audio to emphasize this idea of it powering up and down using FL Studio.

  • Illuminate

    Illuminate

A personal project created over the summer. I made a song then made this visualizer to accompany it.

  • Cathedraphobia

    Cathedraphobia

This was an immersive video study, rendered specifically for my campuses planetarium where it was projected onto a spherical ceiling. We had to export in 4096 x 4096, as this was the quality of the projector. It forced us to think outside of the box when it comes to perspective on a 2D screen.

Another angle of the sea of IKEA chairs.

The first draft of the sea. A few weeks before starting this project, I had made a geometry nodes setup that distributed an object across faces. This unknowingly led to the immersive video project.

An experimental version of the chairs, closer to the fog/atmosphere.

  • Liminal Space Study

    Liminal Space Study

We had an assignment to find and document a liminal space on campus. I chose the top floor of my campus’ Bulger Hall. Audio was also made by me. Programs used were Premiere and After Effects
